Scanfy is a document scanner and PDF toolkit for iPhone. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what the app does with your information. Our Terms of Use cover the license and VIP subscription.
Scans, imported PDFs, and edits are stored on your device. We do not upload your documents to our servers. Optical character recognition (OCR) and image processing run on-device.
If you import from Photos, Scanfy reads only the images you select. Those images are processed on your device and are not sent to us.
The camera is used only to scan documents and measure real-world size with AR when you choose those features. Camera data is processed on your device and is not sent to us.
If you enable iCloud Drive for Scanfy, your documents sync through your personal Apple ID’s iCloud account. Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy apply to that sync. We do not receive those files.
VIP subscription status is verified with Apple through StoreKit. We do not operate our own user accounts. Payment is handled entirely by Apple.
Scanfy uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand app usage and whether purchases complete. Events can include finishing onboarding, scan page count, export format, whether VIP is active, which screen opened the paywall, and purchase details (product identifier, price, currency, and Apple transaction identifier). Scan images, document text, and file names are never sent.
Firebase may also receive an app-instance identifier, device model, and operating system version as part of the SDK. We do not link this data to your name or Apple ID. It is not used to track you across other companies’ apps, and the app does not use App Tracking Transparency or show ads.
Scanfy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
